Side Effects of Meridia
According to widespread clinical tests, most common side effects of Meridia or sibutramine hydrochloride monohydrate include loss of appetite, headaches, and dry mouth. Side effects are minor and easily treated in some of the cases. However, if you experience unexpected bleeding, seizures, or depression, you need to report these to your healthcare provider immediately.
Not everyone who takes Meridia experiences side effects, although as with any medicine, side effects are possible with Meridia as well. Most people tend to tolerate it very well. If too much Meridia is taken, side effects will occur.

Side Effects That Are Less Common with Meridia
Side effects that are uncommon, makes it difficult to tell if they are caused by Meridia or something else, since they are rare side effects and occur in less than two percent of people who take Meridia.
Less common side effects include but are not limited to the following:
* Drowsiness
* Acne
* Thirst
* Voice hoarseness
* Bleeding or spotting between menstrual periods

It is sometimes difficult to tell if Meridia or other factors, for example, cause any specific side effect like nausea. As a result, your healthcare provider will need to know if you develop any possible side effects with Meridia during treatment. He should also know if you experience any symptoms that just don’t feel right. It is possible that it may not be a side effect caused by Meridia, but your healthcare provider will be able to diagnose and treat those symptoms. This could mean that you may experience some or none of the side effects mentioned in this article.
