Trim Bad Fat with Soluble Fiber
According to a new study, you can trim visceral fat or bad fat by increasing your daily intake of soluble fiber.
Visceral fat or bad fat is found deep in the belly. It wraps around the person’s vital organs, causing health problems unlike subcutaneous fat that are just under the skin.
Researchers found a method that can effectively help in trimming down the bad fat and that would be to have regular exercise and increase daily intake of soluble fiber. Soluble fiber can be obtained from fruits, vegetables, and beans.
Increased rate of visceral fat is often associated with conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and fatty liver disease. Experts have found out that for every ten gram of soluble fiber consumed per day, it can decrease visceral fat by 3.7 percent.
So, if you are wondering how much you need to get those 10 grams of soluble fiber, the researchers claim that you can get ten grams of soluble fiber by eating one cup of green peas, two small apples, and one half cup of pinto beans.
However, the researchers mentioned that this result may still require more research to explain the connection between soluble fiber intake and visceral fat.
