Too Sweet? Be Careful! It Could Lead to Obesity
Individuals with a sweet tooth or who loves eating sweets should be wary because getting this cravings out of control will definitely increase one’s risk for obesity.
Studies found out that people who like eating sweets or foods with sweet taste have impaired control for eating such foods and associate eating of sweets with mood improvements. Experts suggested that preference for sweets is associated with binge eating and obesity. Apparently, those who do not have enough self-control when it comes to eating sweets would tend to eat more than they should, resulting to obesity.
Several studies relating obesity and sweet tooth also found out that this is more common among women than men. Results show that women have stronger mood changes compared to men; hence, making them prone to binge eating leading to obesity.
Experts suggest that individuals who have a sweet tooth should be more careful and watchful of what they eat in order to prevent becoming obese in the future.
