For those who are not fond of eating vegetables, you have probably just heard of spinach from a cartoon character named Popeye.

Spinach is a green leafy vegetable that contains vitamins and minerals that can keep a person healthy. It is rich in fiber, iron, protein, and vitamin K. If you are going to eat a spinach-based salad, you will be benefiting from more nutrients compared to salads that are based from other green vegetables because they are more watery than nutritious.

If you are planning to lose weight and you want to do it effectively, adding spinach in your diet would be able to help you. Spinach can make you feel full in a longer period of time while also reducing your caloric consumption to promote weight loss.

For an effective weight loss, you need to plan ahead. Even if you are increasing your vegetable intake, specifically spinach, you should evaluate the meals that you are having everyday. You need to track down where the excess calories come from and decrease your intake of that food.

As much as possible, you should plan your meals for the entire week and be sure to stick to that plan. This way, you’d be able to monitor the foods that you are eating as well as its caloric consumption.
