Some Tips in Weight Loss while Maintaining Muscles
Generally, our main goal in our weight loss attempts is to slack off those excess fats. However, most people who would like to lose weight would often resort to dramatically decreasing their caloric intake without increasing the protein intake in order to maintain muscles. Maintaining muscles are important especially when losing weight because muscles are your source of strength. Without your muscles, you will not be able to perform rigorous exercises and you will end up getting weak.
It is very important to maintain your muscles and also to gain lean muscles so that your body will be stronger. If you want to lose fat, then you also have to consider maintaining your muscles and keeping them strong.
Here are some tips in weight loss while maintaining muscles:
Perform exercise early in the morning before breakfast – It is always better to exercise early in the morning before breakfast because the insulin levels in the blood are relatively low while the fat cell that releases enzymes or also known as the hormone sensitive lipase is active. Aside from that, the lipoprotein lipase or the enzyme that promotes storage is dormant during this time of the day. Do these exercises within a time frame of 45-60 minutes. Less won’t help much in your weight loss while too much exercise can cause muscle tissue breakdown because your body would think that you are already starving.
Always be aware of the carbohydrates that you are eating everyday – If in case you don’t really need these carbohydrates, it will be much better to just avoid eating these carbs. If you want to boost yourself with high amounts of carbs, then you can try eating carbohydrates rich foods early in the morning before breakfast or before you work out.
Control yourself - If you are seeing a lot of delicious foods, then you need to control yourself and do not eat foods that will make you fatter. Instead, you can stay full by eating high fiber foods and drinking plenty of water.
Through these simple tips, you will be able to achieve a healthy body.
