Sitting Down for Prolonged Periods could Kill

According to a latest study, experts have found out that sitting down for a prolonged period of time can actually cause your death. Even if you exercise everyday, you are still at risk for developing various serious medical conditions if you sit for long hours.

Whether you are sitting down in front of a TV or computer, or at your office desk, it doesn’t matter as long a you sit there for a long period of time. Although the research is not yet complete, these preliminary results indicate that it is definitely not advisable to sit down for prolonged hours.

People who are sitting down for a long period of time are usually obese. The most common cause of death would be heart attack.

Experts suggest that people should limit the number of hours that they are spending on sitting down. They have found out that sitting down for four hours can cause the genes that control the blood sugar and body fat to shut down.

The researchers are now looking for more answers. The minimum number of hours for sitting is not yet defined and the possible ways on how to prevent it is still unknown; but experts are suggesting that exercise should never be eliminated on one’s lifestyle. Exercise provides a lot of benefits and people should be able to include them in their every day activities.
