Tofu may not have the best appearance but it is healthy and will be a good addition to your diet. It can be a perfect substitute for high calorie foods and protein.
Tofu can be a good meat replacement if you want to give up meat but not protein. Aside from that, tofu is also rich in calcium.
How to Eat Tofu
If you would like to eat tofu, eating it straight from the package might not be a good idea. The tastiest method to eat tofu is to sauté it with vegetables and low calorie flavorings. Stir fry and tofu can be quite simple but this meal is very nutritious.
Some people prefer mixing tofu with breadcrumbs or use it as veggie burger as a meat replacement. Tofu can even be added with scrambled eggs to make it more filling.
Some Considerations
Tofu can be a good meat substitute because of its protein content. However, if you are planning to lose weight and you would like to eat tofu, you should eat it in moderation because tofu is rich in fat.
