Some experts claimed that gulping a glass of water before meals will help you in losing weight. A new study has found out that middle-aged and older adults who are drinking two cups of water before eating a meal would consume less calories and lose more weight than those who don’t drink water prior to eating.
According to experts, drinking water before eating a meal is a simple strategy but it can greatly help those who would like to lose weight effectively. However, these experts also mentioned that it doesn’t necessarily mean that drinking water would immediately melt away the body fats. In order to lose weight effectively, exercise and proper diet are still needed.
Some of the reasons for obesity and weight gain would be overeating and by filling up with water prior to eating, the individual would consume less calories and lose weight.
Water is harmless and safe to consume. Dietitians suggest that drinking water should be done in a regular basis in order to keep the body hydrated and maintain normal function of the organs.
