How Exercise can Reduce Weight Regain

True enough, exercise can provide a lot of health benefits including weight loss. This has been proven for a long time and a lot of people have already benefited from exercise.

However, a recent study conducted in the University of Colorado Denver have found out that exercise can also reduce weight regain by decreasing the number of fat cells that usually develop during weight regain; thus, this is questioning the proposition that the number of fat cells are already set in a person and this can’t be altered by lifestyle and diet changes.

Because of the alteration of the number of fat cells in the body, the brain also records the changes; thus, the body lowers it’s so called “defended” weight wherein this is considered as the ideal weight that the body would want to achieve during weight loss.

According to the researchers, the physiological changes that occurred as a result of exercise can help a person to stay on the diet that he/she has been doing in order to lose weight.

Even if  you have already achieved your ideal weight after your weight loss efforts, you still need to maintain that ideal weight or you will gain weight again.

Exercise is considered to be effective in preventing weight regain because it can decrease the appetite of a person and also as what the latest studies have found out, it can lower the “defended” body weight of a person.

With a regular exercise, you do not only maintain your ideal weight, but you are also able to improve your body’s circulation and prevent diseases from occurring.
