According to studies, people who are reducing their caloric intake can prolong their lives eventually. People who cut their daily caloric consumption will be able to live longer than those who don’t.

The research team from the Washington University School of Medicine in St Louis found that individuals who are significantly limiting their caloric intake will lower their core body temperature which is known to prolong life.

Individuals who are restricting their caloric intake will have a lower core body temperature with a decrease of approximately 0.2 degrees Celsius.

Despite these findings, the research team pointed out that simply lowering the core body temperature is not the only key to longevity. It is also important to eat nutritious foods, get physically active and maintain a normal body weight.

To prolong one’s lifespan, it is important to stay active and choose healthier food options. Maintaining a normal weight is also important.
