Does Not Eating Before Working Out Burn More Body Fat?

While other people thought that it is not good to run with an empty stomach, studies have shown that not eating before working out will burn more body fats. Although there are some athletes who would eat first before working out, scientists would suggest that those who would like to lose fat effectively should not eat before working out.

There are several studies that suggest that not eating before working out can effectively burn more body fats. Muscles are gaining energy from carbohydrates; this is the reason why people who work out would eat rice or other carbohydrates rich foods in order to have energy for working out. However, if you don’t eat before you workout, you won’t have an adequate source of energy which allows the body to use the fat stores. Hence, you’d be able to burn more fats because these are used as the source of energy for working out.

However, this method has its own pitfalls too. If you are diabetic, it is advised to consult your physician first before you do workouts. Not eating before exercising can cause dizziness especially for people who have low blood sugar. With this discomfort, you won’t be able to exercise effectively.

There are different ways on how to burn fats effectively. It is important to have a regular exercise and a well balanced diet in order to ensure that you are not adding up more fat stores when you attempt to burn them.
