Diet Soda? Think Again!
Those who are planning to go on a diet would often choose diet soda over regular ones, thinking that it’ll help them lose weight. However, recent studies have found out that drinking diet soda everyday may actually increase your risk for heart attack and stroke.
Diet soda misleads people thinking that it is healthier since it contains less sugar and calories.The scientists have yet to find out what ingredient causes harm to the heart and the vessels. This is why they are not yet ready to announce to the public to stop drinking diet soda; however, the public is warned to limit their intake or be more watchful of their diet.
According to the studies, people who are drinking diet soda everyday as part of their diet routine have 61% increased risk for developing a cardiovascular condition and stroke. Experts suggested that rather than drinking these “diet” beverages, consumption of water should be increased.
