Decreased Heart Function Secondary to Fats Surrounding the Organs
A recent research was conducted by the Boston University School of Medicine about the fats surrounding the organs.
Based from the study, they have found out that fats surrounding the organs, such as the liver, heart, and the aorta, greatly contributes to the decrease in heart function. Aside from that, they have also found out that calculating or determining the person’s body mass index (BMI) is not enough to determine the amount of unwanted body fats that surround these organs.
Apparently, a lot of studies regarding obesity are being conducted because of the fact that the rate of obesity is increasing, especially in the United States.
Researchers have found out that those who have fat collections in the organs particularly in the liver and in the heart, have cardiovascular problems. Usually, the cardiovascular problems are about decreased pumping function of the heart, and this continues as the fats surrounding the heart is also increasing.
