Decrease Meat Consumption and Get Slimmer
Meat lovers might not want this but eating a lot of meat can add up to your weight overtime. This is based on a study done in London. According to that study, people who have been consuming more meat gained more pounds over five years as compared to those who ate less meat but consume the same amount of calories.
Because of these findings, experts suggest that people should decrease their meat consumption in order to stay slim and prevent becoming obese overtime.
The experts have also take note of the different types of meat that were usually consumed by those who gained weight and these would be poultry meat followed by processed meats and red meat.
Meat is considered as “energy-dense”, which means, it packs more calories by weight compared to vegetables and fruits. Aside from that, meat can also influence a person’s control for appetite.
The researchers all agreed that if a person would reduce the intake of meat by at least 250 grams per day, there could be a reduction of weight with an average of 4 pounds per year.
