Chocolates are not associated to weight loss but rather to weight gain. This is the reason why most people who are trying to lose weight tend to avoid eating chocolates.
However, new findings suggest that chocolates can actually have some weight loss benefits.
Dark chocolate is found out to be helpful for weight loss. It contains epicatechin, which is an anti-oxidant that is known to have fat burning properties. Chocolates are also known to suppress the appetite. The alkaloid themobromine in dark chocolates can help in increasing muscle strength.
Dark chocolate contains 70-80% cocoa. Hence, if you want to eat chocolates but you still want to remain healthy, then dark chocolate would be a good choice.
A controlled amount of dark chocolate consumption is good for one’s health and for losing weight.
