Banana Diet – Is It Effective?
We are all aware that the banana is rich in nutrients and fiber; however, a “Morning Banana Diet” has been introduced as a diet that claims to promote weight loss.
The banana diet involves eating bananas for breakfast, coupled with warm to lukewarm water. You canĀ have your basic lunch and a mid-afternoon snack of any food choice. For dinner, you can have anything but make sure that it is before 8:00opm. The banana diet also promotes sleeping before midnight.
According to experts, bananas do contain dietary fiber that can help you to feel full at some extent; however, the morning banana diet doesn’t have scientific basis to its claims. Eating anything you want for your lunch and dinner, as what the banana diet is suggesting will not be effective if you are trying to lose weight because you may just fill up with calories rather than minimizing your consumption. The banana diet doesn’t also require exercise, but rather make it as an option.
Apparently, experts agree that the banana diet is just one of those fad diets that are just recipe for disaster. It won’t be effective for those who are trying to lose weight. Rather, they suggest that it would be best to incorporate bananas in a healthy diet since the fruit is rich in nutrients and fiber.
