Apple Cider for Weight Loss – Fact or Fad?
Just like any other fad diets, many people claimed that apple cider vinegar can help in weight loss; however, this has not been proven scientifically speaking.
According to the proponents of the apple cider vinegar diet, those who would like to lose weight need to take one to two tablespoons of apple cider vinegar before meals. This is to curb the appetite and also to promote burning of fats; however, there are no scientific back ups to support such claims.
Apple cider vinegar diet is fad but apple cider vinegar itself isn’t so bad, if you are going to use it occasionally. However, to clear things up, it doesn’t cause weight loss. Actually, constant use of this can even pose some problems such as irritating your throat, since it is highly acidic. Apple cider vinegar can also interact with other drugs and supplements. It can also cause low potassium levels.
Apparently, diet fads are not effective and just a waste of time and money. If you would like to lose weight, make sure that you have regular exercise and eat nutritious and high fiber foods such as fruits and vegetables. For those who have difficulties in losing weight despite efforts, an effective weight loss supplement will greatly help.
