Allergies Make You Fat
While people think calories from foods make them fat, experts believe that food allergies can also make you fat.
Food allergies can cause an allergic response. According to experts, the allergic response would vary. You can have two different types of allergic response. The first one is the most common, which is the IgE response. This is what people often experience because this type of response is pretty quick. It can result to shortness of breath and appearance of hives or rashes.
On the other hand, the second response is the IgG response. This allergic response is not immediate. The allergic response can happen many days later after consuming food. The response can cause stomachache, headache, and weight gain.
When people get the IgG allergic response, they don’t associate it with the food that they have eaten. Symptoms of this response can also include diarrhea, muscle pain, dizziness, hives, abdominal pain, persistent cough, and memory changes.
Experts advise to seek professional help to determine whether your weight gain is due to allergies.
